Pakistan hockey Federation has started a fitness and training camp in Lahore from 26th of August.
26 players have reported in the camp for training on first day to head coach Khawaja Junaid. International fitness instructor Rana Nusrullah will train them for upcoming Olympic Qualification Event.
This camp started in Lahore in which 26 players reported including 2 goal keepers.
New coaches Sameer Hussain, Waseem Ahmad, Ajmal Khan and Rana Zaheer Ahmad, goal keeping coach Nasir Hussain from Pakistan Hockey Federation has also joined the camp.
In this camp different tests were taken to observe current fitness level of players to analyze how much effort they need to improve to specific standards.
PHF has engaged International fitness instructor Rana Nasrullah, fitness consultant and member REPS (UK) Abid Ameen and doctor Asad Abbas as fitness coaching team. Special designed agility and endurance tests were taken according to physique and sport requirement.
Rana Nusrullah said we have collected data of players and we’ll design unique training programe to enhance their fitness in 3 weeks.
Manzoor Junior was also present there to observe custom designed training and test for the players.
